 The Student Services Department serves the community by pre-registering our district's children into their respective grade and campus. We strive to reflect a positive and welcoming ambience to our community with the direct understanding that we are here to SERVE our people and their children.



 Student Services, along with data that is gathered by other departments, work to minimize student truancy and maximize student attendance at the elementary level.


Safety/Risk Management and Workers' Compensation Program:

Student Services Risk Management Department is responsible for evaluating, minimizing and controlling the Rio Grande City's CISD loss or damage to physical assets, fidelity losses and losses arising out of liability claims. The Risk Management Department is also responsible for maximizing the safety of our campus to give our children and employees the safest possible environment. We are also responsible for identifying, evaluating controlling  and minimizing the District's exposure to injury of workers and workplaces. We will work to investigate and resolve worker's compensation claims and coordinate with supervisors to make our best efforts to help District's employees on Modified and/or return-to -work status. We will also manage claims to achieve quality results and expense control to minimize the school district's exposure.

Student Services Worker's Compensation department acts as a mediator between our district's employees and our third party administrator. Employees can find answers to any questions or concerns they have if they have suffered an injury at work.


504 Program:

Student Services also implements the District's 504 program in an effort to accommodate the needs and modifications that our students may have.

Mail Delivery: 

Student Services delivers mail to all campuses and departments in the Rio Grande City School District. Our mail delivery services strive to provide efficient and precise service to all the district and it's employees. Our mail department also helps maintain our records retention program, by helping store and keep inventory of the districts files.
